Seggy T Segaran
Seggy has worked as an engineer for nearly 38 years and has launched a number of
products in that time. Having founded an electronics design and manufacturing company
in 1988 he has recently retired from that role to concentrate on working on intermediate
technology projects that benefit people in the developing world as well as the environment.
Jane has juggled the task of raising a family with working in a number of roles at
York City Council, the latest being with the Road Safety team. Her long term work
with the homeless in the voluntary sector has prepared her well for being a Trustee.
Alan read Law at Leeds University and taught for four years before taking a Commission
in the British Army. Having attended Sandhurst, he served in the Army for sixteen
years, retiring with the rank of Major. Alan recently sold the travel company that
he set up on leaving the army, and is ready for new challenges.
