Relief of poverty
The prevention or relief of poverty in developing countries by providing: grants,
items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations
working to prevent or relieve poverty.
We will achieve this through the following activities:
* Carry out research into technologies that can help impoverished communities in
the developing world. Examples of this are products that will reduce the use of firewood
thus saving money and time for users while also reducing deforestation.
* Build prototypes for evaluation ensuring that the final product can be built locally
in the countries where they are used. This will provide useful local employment and
* Raise funds in order to make these products available to low-income households.
We will work with local partners to manufacture the products, identify suitable recipients,
provide training and monitor progress.
* Distribute literature to promote these technologies and products to a wide audience.
Description of the technologies, benefits and plans for building prototypes will
be available on this web site.
