EMACE Foundation, based in Moratuwa, have manufactured a Fuel Efficient Cooking Stove that can replace a traditional cooking fire - using less wood and producing much less smoke.

 

The use of this stove reduces de-forestation and improves the health of the person using it. As it is made in Sri Lanka - it provides much needed local employment as well.
